Roger is a very experienced boat user, having cruised his own craft extensively in the Bay of Biscay, Atlantic Coasts and the Eastern and Western Med. A surveyor who is not an experienced boat user may not develop the essential skills of early diagnosis of faults nor can he fully appreciate the gravity of omissions. Faults ultimately develop into gear failure that may compromise the safety of the vessel and of those aboard.

 

Roger has an  excellent working knowledge of boats and their systems to combine with his technical and academic background.

 

Roger also works surveying imported craft to ensure they comply with the Recreational Craft Directive to enable them to get a CE Mark. As a Recreational Craft Directive expert he is up to date on current safety standards.
